Get ready to see the Perseid meteor shower!

Every year in August Earth passes through the orbit of the comet Swift-Tuttle and picks up bits of debris. As they pass through the atmosphere the air heats up, creating the streaks of light.

Saturday August 11 after midnight will be the best chance to see the meteor shower this year. Look to the northeastern sky near the constellation Perseus and enjoy the show!
